Chapter 2: Part 3
“I could not be happier
with the feedback I received.
The critique was insightful and cut right to the heart of the problems I had in my manuscript. Not only did he help to point out where my novel was flawed, he also helped me see some of the crutches and shortcuts I had fallen back on.”
– BW Guy, author of Elemental Sprites
My rate for first-chapter critique is $125.
With this, I’ll be editing the first chapter of your book, up to 5,000 words, and giving you a targeted summary of writing issues I’ve noticed and things you need to be aware of, both in your revisions and in future writing. You’ll also receive a detailed wrap-up email that will further address everything I noticed, both expressing elements you did well and errant concepts you may have that need work.
Why get a first-chapter Critique?
Are you a new writer and you want to make sure you’re aware of the rules before you get too far into your project? Are you a seasoned vet and you want a quick way to gauge if you have any bad habits, without needing to pay for or schedule a full manuscript edit yet? Do you want to get your book as polished as you can before you send it over for editing, so the editor can target more advanced concepts in the writing? If the answer to any of those is yes, a first-chapter critique may be the best option for you.
If you want to figure out how best to improve your writing, but don’t have the time or budget to schedule in a full edit, send me an email and let’s talk.
